On Friday evening, I went to a production of "The Matchmaker", put on by Calvary Christian Academy. My brother played one of the main characters, Ambrose Kemper. "The Matchmaker" is a play that was written before "Hello Dolly", the musical. "Hello, Dolly" is a spinoff of this script.
The play was well done. The actors added pieces of their own personalities into their parts and we found ourselves laughing continuously throughout the production.
I didn't recognize my brother when he first stepped out onto the stage. He normally wears his hair straight. He was sport some curls and more eye liner than Tammy Faye Baker. Aaron is very much a "guy's guy" from the standpoint that he does not do frills. Therefore, he was disgusted that he had to wear makeup and thoroughly disatisfied with the woman who took a curling iron to his head!
Daniel Hunter as Mr. Vandergelder, Aaron as Ambrose Kemper
and someone I don't know as the taxi driver.

This is a funny picture to me. Aaron is sandwiched between his girlfriend and her sister (who I think has a thing for Aaron)! Emily Gettchle is on the left. She played a restaurant waitress. Paige Gettchle (Aaron's girlfriend), played the part of The Matchmaker.
Aaron and Paige will be going to their Junior/Senior banquet together
on May 23 at "The Melting Pot."
